Postgenomic Technology

Directions of development medicines which are products of chemical and peptide synthesis, genetically therapeutic drugs, research and medical technologies for multiparametric molecular diagnostics, including, technologies that are necessary for work in area of ultra-low concentration was included in the structure of the critical technology passport of “Genomic, proteomicand post-genomic technologies”.

Genomic and post-genomic technologies reflect new approaches of living systems analysis in the molecular level which are high throughput. As a part of critical technology three basic tendencies of development of these technologies are reflected:

  • genomic technologies which are based on the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) allowing to multiply of analyzed molecules to instrumentation sensitivity level;
  • proteomic technologies lack a method similar to PCR method. It demands an increase of sensitivity level of instrumentation to single molecules detecting;;
  • application of bioinformatics technologies as integrating basis of generalization post-genomic data within the limits of models comparative genomics and system biology.
